Answers to commonly asked questions about Colliderfest

No, you don’t need a ticket to attend the 48+ hands on activities and demonstrations that are spread across our three discovery zones. There are however a number of activities that are either free bookable or paid bookable. You can see all of the events and filter them on our What’s On page. Even without booking any sessions there should be loads for you to see and do!

For two nights the city will be transformed using light and sound installations. You do not need a ticket to attend Colliderfest After Dark, there are a variety of music for each performance so visit the locations at your leisurely pace to enjoy each in turn. There will be installations In Queen Victoria Square, Beverley Gate, Whitefriargate and Trinity Square and the trail will be connected together by street performers throughout the night.

Yes – there are a small number of free tickets available to shows which are also available as paid tickets at a different venue. In the case of paid tickets the shows are taking place in larger venues which will allow for bigger productions around the same theme.

We believe science and arts is for everyone and there really is something for all ages! Please do come along and explore. There are lots of drop in activities, in the Museum Quarter, Ferens Art Gallery and Hull Minster.

There are also a number of shows, suitable for all ages. From The Worlds First Rollercoaster and Other Amazing Inventions, to Urban Biodiversity around Blue and Green Spaces in Hull.

Or join Eko, the sea giant in Queen Victoria Square for a saunter through the streets, leading to a performance in Trinity Square.

There are a small number of shows that have under 18 and over 18 showings and our Colliderfest Lates programme is designed for an older audience.

No, the sessions at The Deep will be taking place in the education rooms which is before you enter into the main attractions.

The event activities are focussed in four main locations. Fusion, Exploration, Discovery and The Deep. Head to Discovery Zone in the Museums Quarter, Wise Institute and High Street, Fusion Zone is in Queen Victoria Square, King Edward Street and Ferens Art Gallery, while Exploration Zone covers Trinity Square, Hull Minster and Hands on History.
